Lighthouse Cannabis

Recreational Cannabis Dispensary, State of Maine

Effective Date: January 1st, 2026

1. Introduction

Lighthouse Cannabis (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a licensed recreational (adult-use) cannabis dispensary located in the State of Maine, and the website located at http://www.lighthousecannabismaine.com (the “Site”), including online menu browsing and order-ahead reservation features. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

By visiting our dispensary, using the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Site or services.

We are licensed and regulated by the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy (“OCP”) under Title 28-B of the Maine Revised Statutes and its implementing rules. Some of the information practices described below exist specifically to comply with those regulations.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Government-Issued Identification: To verify that you are at least 21 years of age, we collect and scan a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID) upon entry to our dispensary and, where applicable, prior to fulfilling an online order.
  • Purchase and Transaction Information: Products purchased, quantities, prices, payment method (e.g., cash, debit), and transaction timestamps.
  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password if you create an online account for order-ahead or loyalty features.
  • Loyalty Program Data: Purchase history and preferences if you enroll in any loyalty or rewards program we offer.
  • Video Surveillance: Maine dispensary regulations require continuous video surveillance of our licensed premises, including sales floor and limited-access areas. Footage may capture your image while you are on our premises.
  • Website and Device Information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and similar usage data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).
  • Communications: Information you provide when you contact us by email, phone, or through the Site, including customer service inquiries.

3. Age Verification

Maine law prohibits the sale of adult-use cannabis products to anyone under 21 years of age. We require valid, government-issued photo identification to verify age before completing any purchase, whether in-store or via online order pickup. We do not knowingly collect information from, sell to, or otherwise serve individuals under 21. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from someone under 21, we will delete it, except where retention is required by OCP regulation.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Verify your age and identity as required by Maine law prior to any sale.
  • Process, fulfill, and manage your in-store and online orders.
  • Operate loyalty programs and communicate about promotions, where you have opted in.
  • Maintain required records and reporting for state seed-to-sale tracking and regulatory compliance (see Section 5).
  • Maintain the security of our premises, prevent diversion, theft, and underage sales, and comply with video surveillance requirements.
  • Improve and maintain the Site, diagnose technical issues, and personalize your browsing experience.
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

5. State Seed-to-Sale Tracking System

Maine requires licensees to record certain sales and inventory data in the state’s designated cannabis tracking system (currently METRC) for regulatory compliance purposes. Limited transaction data — such as product type, quantity, and sale date — may be transmitted to this system as required by OCP rules. This reporting is a condition of our license and is separate from any marketing use of your information.

6. Video Surveillance Disclosure

Consistent with Maine dispensary security requirements, our premises are equipped with video surveillance cameras covering the sales floor, entrances, limited-access areas, and points of sale. Recordings may be retained for the period required by OCP regulations and may be provided to the Office of Cannabis Policy or law enforcement upon lawful request.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information with:

  • Regulators: The Maine Office of Cannabis Policy and other state or local authorities, as required by law or license conditions.
  • Law Enforcement: When required by valid legal process, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety of our staff, customers, or premises.
  • Service Providers: Payment processors, point-of-sale and inventory platforms, IT hosting providers, and marketing platforms who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable regulatory approval and confidentiality protections.
  • With Your Consent: For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection and to which you agree.

Because cannabis remains illegal under federal law, we take particular care in vetting third-party service providers, including payment and data-hosting vendors, for compliance and data-handling practices.

8. Cookies and Online Tracking

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, analyze traffic, and, if enabled, support age-gate verification for Site access. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some Site functionality, including the ability to place an order online.

9. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including restricted access to identification and transaction records, encrypted storage where applicable, and secured premises consistent with OCP security requirements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

We retain identification, transaction, and compliance records for the period required by Maine OCP regulations and other applicable law, and for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Video surveillance footage is retained in accordance with applicable security regulations. Account and marketing information is retained until you request deletion or close your account, subject to any legal retention obligations.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails or contacting us directly. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information we hold about you, subject to our obligation to retain records required by Maine cannabis regulations. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 14.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and services are intended solely for individuals 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, including brand or manufacturer pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the revised policy on our Site with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
